  1. I don't know if I can handle the internal turmoil from this.
On the one hand, you've FINALLY got a big screen version of one of the greatest comic book characters ever to see print, done by a legend to both sequential art and writing in general.
On the other hand however, you've got a man who's writing the Spirit to be this angry moody guy in a mask, which I COMPLETELY disagree with.
That's not who Denny Colt was. He was another balck and white version of Marv, or the best version of Daredevil I've ever seen. He was a guy who almost died and came back to life and fought crime to help out his city. He had a sense of humor, a personality and even have a moral code. If you took away the angry from Batman and made him a little bit more human instead of super human, that could most likely be a character template for the Spirit.

Just like certain comic book artists shouldn't draw certain heroes, in my opinion, I don't think that certain artists/directors should be able to work on certain screenplays.

I don't know how I feel about this to tell you the truth, but I still can't wait until it comes out.
